The posting

Seasonal Retail Associate – The UPS Store #4584 (Columbia, SC)

Dates: November 1, 2026 – January 15, 2027 Pay: $10.00/hour, paid bi-weekly, plus a $150 completion bonus when you work every scheduled shift through January 15 Hours: Part-time, 15–30 hrs/week. Must be available Saturdays and the week before Christmas.

About the job The holidays are our busiest time of year. We’re looking for a friendly, reliable person to help customers ship packages, pack boxes, print documents, and keep the store running smoothly. You’ll work at the counter alongside our regular team at our Hard Scrabble Rd location.

What you’ll do

  • Greet customers and help them ship with UPS and USPS
  • Pack items safely — we’ll train you on our basic, standard, and fragile pack methods
  • Run the register, handle cash and cards, and keep your drawer balanced
  • Help customers with copies, printing, and laminating
  • Receive and sort incoming packages for mailbox customers
  • Keep the counter, packing area, and sales floor stocked and clean

What we’re looking for

  • Available through January 15, including weekends and December peak days
  • Retail, cash handling, or customer service experience preferred — not required
  • Friendly, patient, and comfortable with a line of customers
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for a full shift
  • Quick learner — we’ll train you on our systems
  • Reliable and on time, every shift
