Across our studios, collaboration is real, feedback is open, and culture matters. We take the work seriously. Ourselves, a little less so.

The Opportunity We're looking for a talented Intermediate Video Editor to join The Heist team in Toronto on an initial 3-month contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

  • Apply light colour correction and grading to ensure footage looks polished, consistent, and on-brand.
  • Work with music, sound design, graphics, and pacing to elevate storytelling.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Prepare, organize, and export content in various formats and aspect ratios for different platforms.
  • Maintain organized project files and follow established post-production workflows.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3–5 years of professional video editing experience, ideally within an agency, production company, or post-production studio.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of colour correction and light grading, using Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
  • A strong portfolio or reel showcasing a range of editing styles and storytelling abilities.
  • Experience editing social-first content, branded campaigns, and digital advertising.
  • A great eye for detail, pacing, composition, and visual storytelling.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a larger creative team.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to take creative feedback and turn around revisions efficiently.

Bonus Points!

  • Experience working on commercial productions or with well-known brands.
  • Basic motion graphics or animation skills.
  • Familiarity with sound mixing and audio cleanup.
  • Experience with different camera formats, codecs, and post-production workflows.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
