ABOUT THE ROLE

Thndr is scaling Facilities Management from a reactive support function into a structured, professional operation.

As a Facilities Coordinator, you’ll be the execution arm of the FM team - owning the day-to-day operations that keep our offices running smoothly. You’ll be the go-to person for maintenance requests, vendor follow-ups, workplace issues, supplies, and day-to-day facilities needs across our floors.

You’ll work closely with the FM Manager, taking ownership of the operational details and making sure nothing falls through the cracks, while giving the wider FM team more room to focus on strategic projects such as space planning, access control, compliance, and workplace improvements.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, responsive, proactive, and comfortable dealing with multiple small fires while keeping the bigger picture in view.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Own the day-to-day facilities helpdesk and ticketing queue - logging, prioritizing, tracking, and resolving requests within SLA.

- Coordinate with vendors and contractors across cleaning, maintenance, security, catering, and other workplace services to ensure issues are resolved on time and to the expected standard.

- Conduct regular walkthroughs across all floors to identify maintenance, safety, cleanliness, or workplace issues before they escalate.

- Follow up with vendors on schedules, quotations, service quality, and issue resolution, including negotiating basic service terms when needed.

- Support the procurement of facilities supplies and consumables, including inventory tracking, stock checks, and reordering.

- Assist with office moves, seating changes, minor space setups, and other workplace changes.

- Maintain accurate records of facilities assets, contracts, vendors, maintenance schedules, inventory, and ongoing requests.

- Support the execution of FM initiatives under the FM Manager’s direction, such as access control rollouts, AV setups, fire safety requirements, and other workplace projects.

- Act as the on-the-ground point of contact for employees on facilities-related questions and requests.

- Keep track of open issues and follow through with the relevant stakeholders until they are fully resolved.

- Help the FM team move from reactive firefighting toward a more proactive and structured way of managing workplace operations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

- 1–3 years of experience in facilities, office management, workplace operations, or operations coordination.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple open tasks simultaneously without losing track of details.

- A strong ownership and follow-up mindset - you don’t just raise a request, you make sure it gets resolved.

- Comfortable working with vendors and contractors and negotiating basic service terms when needed.

- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, particularly for tracking inventory, tickets, budgets, and operational data.

- Clear and professional communication skills in both Arabic and English.

- Comfortable being physically present on-site and responding to real-time workplace issues.

- Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm when priorities change or unexpected issues come up.

- A proactive mindset - you notice problems, flag them early, and take action without waiting to be asked.

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience working within a structured Facilities Management or Workplace team.

- Experience managing a facilities helpdesk, ticketing system, or SLA-based service requests.

- Experience working with multiple vendors and contractors.

- Experience supporting office moves, seating plans, or workplace projects.

- Exposure to access control, AV, fire safety, or other workplace systems.

- Experience in a corporate, fintech, technology, co-working, hospitality, or facilities-services environment.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

We’re building Facilities at Thndr into a structured operation that enables everyone else to do their best work.

The Facilities Coordinator is at the center of that transformation. You’ll own the day-to-day execution that keeps our offices running — from getting a maintenance issue resolved, to making sure supplies are available, to coordinating vendors and supporting workplace projects.

This role gives you the opportunity to build real ownership across workplace operations while working closely with an experienced FM team and seeing the impact of your work every day.

If you’re someone who likes getting things done, keeping operations organized, solving problems on the ground, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks, this is your chance to help build the operating backbone of Facilities at Thndr.

WHO ARE WE?

Thndr was founded on a bold dream to democratize access to investing through smart tech and human-centric design. At the same time, we’re shaping the future of investing while actively driving the economies we serve by promoting local investment products.

History has shown that investing is the single greatest way to build long-term wealth, but before Thndr, only a very small percentage of people had access to it due to:

- High barriers to entry - In the form of excessive minimum account balances, complex, outdated onboarding, and low financial literacy.

- Irrelevant experience - Catered toward expert traders and financial specialists, therefore alienating the majority of the population.

- Fragmented offering - Investment products were not gathered in a single, intuitive outlet.

We don't just talk about change, we deliver it. Here's a glimpse into our impact so far:

- 5.5 million app downloads

- EGP 1B+ average daily traded value across 2025

- 40% of our users come from outside of capital cities and have previously had limited access to financial institutions

Building on the success of our core platform, we are continuing to change culture and break down barriers by launching Rumble, the subscription-based investment recommendations platform.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
