Job Description

Account Manager, Reuters Imagen

Reuters News Agency is seeking an Account Manager to look after its EMEA client base for Imagen, the cloud-based media management and distribution platform. You will work closely with some of the world’s leading sporting organizations, using a consultative approach to shape how our platform meets each client’s needs.

Reuters Imagen helps sports organizations and media companies store, manage and distribute their content libraries to partners and stakeholders through a secure, highly customizable platform, and helps them monetize that content. Its clients include Premier League, FIFA, Major League Soccer and Major League Baseball.

Your portfolio will comprise a blend of existing client relationships and new business opportunities, which you will be responsible for identifying and developing. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

As Account Manager at Reuters Imagen, you will:

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring clients receive consistent, high-quality service.
  • Manage each account’s decision-making process to build a qualified pipeline of opportunities that supports revenue targets.
  • Keep accurate pipeline reports, account plans and sales forecasts up to date in Salesforce CRM.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of each customer’s business strategy and present the value of Reuters Imagen in a compelling way.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales objectives by securing contract renewals and upsells, as agreed with the Director of Sales.
  • Represent customer needs internally, working with the Imagen development and deployment teams and other cross-functional departments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all client needs, including quotes, formal proposals, change requests, and liaison with billing and credit control.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will likely have:

  • Experience in sales within software, media, or a competing or news organization, with responsibility for revenue.
  • A proven track record in software licensing sales. This is essential.
  • Experience working with sports federations and media groups across the EMEA territories.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A history of developing and closing business development contracts, including identifying, developing and articulating complex proposals through consultative selling.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and carry out a sales plan and to use a range of technology with a high level of proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving ability: you can understand client needs, explain them clearly, and structure solutions to meet them.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
