Job Title: Content Marketer

Contractor Fee: $2,500-$3,500/month (USD)

Work Arrangement: Remote

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor

Commitment: Full-time (Approx. 40 hours/week)

Company Overview:

Tidal is a Direct Placement Agency that helps job seekers find job opportunities for real growth. We work with stable, responsible businesses that are experienced in remote hiring and are excited to welcome international team members. Tidal is owned and operated by consumer brand owners and operators. We have experience in offshore team-building and aim to help businesses leverage global talent.

About This Role: We are hiring a Content Marketer for an eCommerce-focused media brand and show. You will turn video clips, interviews, and existing content into high-volume social posts and a daily newsletter while maintaining a consistent, engaging brand voice across channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and publish approximately 15 posts per day across LinkedIn and X, turning video clips, interviews, and other source material into strong hooks, captions, insights, and standalone posts.
  • Write and prepare a daily newsletter based on current content, clips, conversations, and relevant eCommerce or business topics.
  • Repurpose long-form and video content into multiple written formats while maintaining a consistent brand voice and strong content quality.
  • Manage the day-to-day content workflow, including drafting, organizing, scheduling, publishing, and meeting recurring daily deadlines.
  • Review engagement and content performance to identify stronger hooks, topics, formats, and messaging for future posts and newsletters.
  • Work independently from provided assets and direction, identifying useful angles and content opportunities without requiring detailed briefs for every piece.

Software/Platforms/Tools:

  • LinkedIn and X / Twitter
  • Email and newsletter platforms
  • Social media scheduling and publishing tools
  • Google Sheets and Google Docs
  • Slack, Notion, Trello, Asana, or similar project management tools
  • Claude, ChatGPT, or similar AI tools

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, social media content, editorial, or a similar role, ideally supporting eCommerce, DTC, business, media, creator, or founder-led brands.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating engaging social copy, newsletters, audience-building content, or similar written work.
  • Excellent written English with strong editing, headline, hook, and short-form copywriting skills.
  • Proven ability to consistently produce a high volume of high-quality content and to turn video, audio, interviews, or rough source material into compelling written content.
  • Experience writing for LinkedIn, X, newsletters, or similar audience-driven channels and adapting to an established brand or founder voice.
  • Highly organized, proactive, responsive, and comfortable managing recurring daily content independently in a lean remote environment.

Shift Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, with approximately 4–5 hours of daily overlap with US business hours for communication, content approvals, and publishing coordination. The remaining working hours may be completed asynchronously. Exact working hours will be agreed upon directly between the contractor and the client.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
