Job Title: Performance Creative Strategist

Contractor Fee: $2,500–$3,500/month (USD)

Work Arrangement: Remote

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor

Commitment: Full-time (Approx. 40 hours/week)

Company Overview:

Tidal is a Direct Placement Agency that helps job seekers find job opportunities for real growth. We work with stable, responsible businesses that are experienced in remote hiring and are excited to welcome international team members. Tidal is owned and operated by consumer brand owners and operators. We have experience in offshore team-building and aim to help businesses leverage global talent.

About This Role:

We're hiring a Performance Creative Strategist for a growing food and beverage eCommerce company. In this hands-on role, you'll turn customer insights, raw footage, and performance data into video and static ads for Meta. Working with the founder and relevant teams, you'll build a consistent testing workflow, analyze what works, and use sound judgment to guide new concepts and iterations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative concepts and testing plans. Use Amrita's existing customer avatars and buying motivations to develop hooks, angles, messages, and offers. Maintain a testing calendar across concepts, formats, and variations.
  • Produce video and static ads. Turn UGC, founder videos, testimonials, product footage, and community content into finished ads. Write hooks and ad copy, edit footage, and create variations, resizes, and repurposed assets.
  • Coordinate creative assets. Work with creators and internal team members to obtain footage and other production inputs. Organize assets into a reusable content library.
  • Use AI to improve execution. Apply AI and automation to research, ideation, copywriting, editing, transcription, versioning, and asset management. Review outputs for accuracy, quality, and brand fit.
  • Launch creative tests. Upload, launch, and manage creative tests in Meta Ads Manager and other agreed platforms. Coordinate with paid-media specialists on campaign setup, audiences, and budgets.
  • Analyze performance and iterate. Review results, identify likely reasons creatives succeed or underperform, and turn those findings into new concepts and variations.
  • Align ad and landing-page messaging. Check that ads connect consistently with the landing page, product page, and offer. Coordinate messaging updates with relevant team members.
  • Collaborate with the founder. Communicate priorities, insights, and asset needs clearly. Maintain an organized workflow that reduces the founder's day-to-day involvement in creative execution.

Software/Platforms/Tools:

  • Creative production: Canva, CapCut, Descript, or comparable editing tools
  • Creative research and analysis: Creative OS, Motion, Foreplay
  • Paid media: Meta Ads Manager and relevant AI-assisted advertising tools
  • Creator platforms: TikTok, Trybe, ReacherApp
  • eCommerce and landing pages: Shopify, Replo
  • Collaboration and reporting: Google Sheets, Google Docs
  • AI and automation: Claude, ChatGPT, and other tools that improve creative production and workflow efficiency

Experience with every listed tool is not required. Candidates should be comfortable learning the platforms needed for the role.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in performance creative, creative strategy, paid social creative, creative design, or a similar role.
  • Strong experience developing Meta/Facebook and Instagram ads for eCommerce, DTC, or consumer brands.
  • Strong understanding of hooks, creative angles, messaging, ad copy, UGC, and customer buying motivations.
  • Hands-on experience producing both video and static ads, including turning existing footage and brand assets into multiple concepts and variations.
  • Proficiency with Canva and a video-editing tool such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Descript, or a comparable platform.
  • Ability to interpret creative performance data, explain likely drivers, and recommend what to test next.
  • Comfort using Meta Ads Manager to upload and launch ads and review performance.
  • Practical experience using AI tools, with the judgment to refine their outputs.
  • Strong written and verbal English, including clear communication of creative ideas and performance insights.
  • Strong organization, initiative, and ownership, with the ability to manage priorities independently and work directly with a founder.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with food and beverage, CPG, or wellness brands.
  • Familiarity with creator platforms such as TikTok, Trybe, or ReacherApp.
  • Familiarity with Motion, Foreplay, Creative OS, or similar creative research and analysis tools.
  • Experience with Shopify and landing-page tools such as Replo.

What Success Looks Like

  • A consistent workflow for developing, producing, testing, and improving creative.
  • Video and static ads informed by customer insights and performance data.
  • Clear recommendations on what to test next and why.
  • Organized assets and communication that reduce the founder's involvement in daily creative execution.
  • Creative that supports profitable customer acquisition.

Shift Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday, with approximately 4–5 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern Time business hours for collaboration, creative reviews, and meetings. Remaining hours may be completed asynchronously.
  • Exact working hours will be agreed upon directly between the contractor and the client.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
