The posting
The Americas Public Policy team represents the company with governments, policymakers, NGOs, think tanks, nonprofits, and opinion leaders across North and South America. We advocate for the company on high-profile political, legislative, and regulatory issues, and help external audiences understand how our products work and the safeguards behind them.
Policy in the Americas is made at national, state, and local levels at once, which means the same issue can be live in a dozen places on different timelines.
You will take part in some of the most important policy conversations shaping the internet, with direct impact on how users, creators, and communities across the region experience our platforms.
We are looking for a strategic and highly organized manager to develop and lead our experiential engagement program, building interactive experiences that help government and external stakeholders understand our products and our story, while leading product demonstrations and policy-focused discussions. The role also manages our events program and supports priority public policy events across the United States and the broader Americas region. The ideal candidate can move comfortably between substantive policy conversations with senior officials and the detailed planning required to bring an engagement or event to life, exercising sound judgment and discretion throughout.
This is a highly collaborative, on-site role that requires five days per week in the office located in Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities: - Own the management and ongoing development of the DC engagement center, ensuring it delivers a high-quality stakeholder experience and stays current with our policy priorities and messaging. - Develop engaging, interactive experiences that tell our product and business stories to public policy audiences, working across teams to surface and integrate stories of the platform's positive impact on communities throughout the region; lead ongoing content development to keep exhibits and programming fresh, accurate, and relevant. - Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders participating in key events and engagements, ensuring they have a positive, well-supported experience and their involvement aligns with our policy and advocacy goals. - Lead product demonstrations and policy-focused discussions with external stakeholders, tailoring content and format to each audience and policy objective. - Partner across Global Public Policy, Communications, Product, and subject-matter experts to plan and deliver well-coordinated, substantive stakeholder visits and engagements. - Manage the end-to-end planning and execution of policy events and stakeholder programs, from agenda design and venue selection through run-of-show, guest experience, and follow-up. - Support high-priority public policy events across the United States and the broader Americas region in partnership with regional policy teams. - Manage budgets, procurement, vendors, and compliance for the center and its events, and maintain repeatable tools and standards that ensure consistent quality across engagements.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Affairs, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Experience in public policy, government relations, public affairs, operations, events, or stakeholder engagement, with a track record of managing cross-functional projects and high-stakes, public-facing activities. - Ability to lead presentations, product demonstrations, or facilitated discussions with external audiences and to communicate complex technical or policy material clearly. - Strong project management skills, with the ability to own initiatives from planning through execution, manage multiple workstreams and vendors, and drive results with limited oversight. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across regional teams, cross-functional partners, external organizations, and senior leadership. - Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive policy matters, confidential information, and government-facing engagements. - Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends and travel in support of priority events.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience managing an engagement, visitor, demonstration, or business center, or other public-facing venue, ideally in a policy, regulatory, or corporate setting. - Experience directing physical and digital exhibit content, including interactive displays, mobile demos, video, and AV, and partnering with creative and technical teams. - Experience managing high-profile events, convenings, delegations, or fly-ins involving elected officials, executive branch audiences, civil society, or business partners. - Experience managing budgets, procurement, contracting, and vendor relationships in a large or global organization, including government-facing compliance.
