Health & Welfare: $9.55 - $12.55/hr up to 40 hours per week to be used towards benefit premiums
About the Role
The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
What You'll Be Doing
- Verify materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
- Route materials to prescribed storage locations.
- Store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
- Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials.
- Examine stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.
- Remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment.
- Operate appropriate equipment including a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, cart, delivery truck, and office machines.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Maintain the warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of four (4) years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training in warehouse operations.
- Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.
- Must have data entry skills and experience using current computer software applications.
- Must be able to operate appropriate equipment including computer and forklift.
- Must be able to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier 1) background check.
- Must be able to perform simple arithmetic computations.
- Must be able to work alternate shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE.
