The Role

As an intern in our ESG team in Amsterdam, you will support the team in turning sustainability data into insight and action. You will work on real projects with visible business impact, and over the course of your internship you will develop skills in three areas:

  • Sustainability Data & Analytics: Develop proficiency in collecting, validating, analyzing, and visualizing sustainability data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities across key ESG topics.
  • Business Case Development: Build the ability to translate sustainability insights into business cases by assessing environmental impact, costs, risks, benefits, and value creation opportunities to support informed decision-making.
  • Strategic Communication & Support: Develop skills in converting complex sustainability data and analyses into clear recommendations, presentations, and reports for both technical and business stakeholders.

We're looking for someone who

  • Is currently enrolled in a Master's programme in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Economics, Business, Data Science, or a related field
  • Is comfortable working with data and numbers, with strong Excel skills; experience with visualization tools is a plus
  • Has a keen interest in ESG and climate topics, and a basic understanding of sustainability concepts such as greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Thinks analytically, is curious and detail-oriented, and enjoys connecting data to business value
  • Communicates clearly in English, both in writing and in presentations, and works well with colleagues across functions
  • Takes ownership, moves fast, and is eager to learn
