THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity to help build the future of benefits across North America in a newly independent organization.
As our North America Benefits Manager, you’ll own the day-to-day delivery and continued evolution of our benefits programs across the U.S. and Canada, spanning health and welfare, retirement and leave.
This is a stand-alone management-level role, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves as much as thinking strategically. You’ll be comfortable moving between the detail and the bigger picture: solving an employee issue one moment, partnering with vendors or Finance the next, and then helping shape how our benefits offering should evolve for the future.
You’ll be trusted to take ownership, use your judgment and drive things forward, while recognizing when an issue requires broader alignment or escalation.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Shape the future of our benefits offering. Play a key role in redesigning and evolving U.S. benefits, bringing fresh thinking, market insight and an employee-first mindset.
- Own the benefits calendar. Lead Annual Enrollment, compliance activities, required filings and other critical benefits milestones from planning through execution.
- Be hands-on with delivery. Get into the detail when needed to troubleshoot issues, solve problems and ensure our programs work smoothly for employees.
- Make benefits easier to understand. Create simple, engaging communications and education that help employees understand, value and make the most of their benefits.
- Lead our vendor partnerships. Work closely with benefits providers and internal partners to drive strong delivery, resolve issues and continuously improve the employee experience.
- Be our leave expert. Serve as the subject matter expert for U.S. and Canadian leave administration, partnering with external providers to deliver compliant, compassionate and consistent experiences.
- Manage risk with confidence. Stay ahead of regulatory requirements, identify potential issues early and use sound judgment to determine what you can resolve independently and when leadership needs to be engaged.
- Turn ideas into action. Spot opportunities to simplify, improve or innovate, and take the initiative to move them forward.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO…
- Brings strong experience across U.S. and Canadian health, welfare and retirement benefits, ideally in a complex or evolving organization.
- Is comfortable being the go-to benefits expert, without needing a large team around you to get things done.
- Can operate at both strategic and operational levels, developing the plan while also being willing to execute it.
- Has strong knowledge of benefits compliance, leave administration, vendor management and employee communications.
- Is naturally curious and look for ways to challenge, simplify and improve how things are done.
- Takes ownership and initiative rather than waiting for direction, while having the judgment to recognize when collaboration, alignment or escalation is needed.
- Can navigate ambiguity, competing priorities and changing business needs without losing sight of the employee experience.
- Builds strong relationships across HR, Finance, vendors and the wider business.
- Brings a collaborative, pragmatic and low-ego approach, focused on finding the right solution rather than owning the spotlight.
WHAT YOU’LL GET
You’ll have the opportunity to help shape something new, with meaningful ownership and the space to bring your ideas to life.
Alongside meaningful work and development opportunities, our reward package typically includes:
- Market-competitive pay and performance-related rewards
- Flexible ways of working
