The Role:

We're seeking a strategic, collaborative, and people and business-focused Dealer Environmental Health and Safety Leader. In this role, the Dealer Environmental Health and Safety Leader will independently lead and support safety and environmental initiatives across the TMHNA dealer network, providing technical expertise, strategic guidance, coaching, and resources to strengthen dealer safety and environmental performance. While dealers maintain responsibility for their individual safety and environmental programs, this position serves as a primary TMHNA safety and environmental resource to help dealers reduce risk, strengthen regulatory compliance, and continuously improve their safety and environmental programs and culture.

The position independently conducts dealer safety and environmental assessments, inspections, technician ride-alongs, incident reviews, and loss-control activities; provides guidance on regulatory and compliance matters; develops and implements training and awareness initiatives; leads ergonomics and injury-prevention projects; supports property, auto, workers’ compensation, and claims-related risk-reduction activities; and identifies opportunities to standardize effective safety practices across the dealer network.

The Dealer Environmental Health and Safety Leader manages multiple complex safety and environmental projects and initiatives, facilitates recurring meetings with dealer safety representatives, partners with dealer and TMHNA leadership, and serves as a primary TMHNA point of contact for dealer safety projects involving external consultants.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Strengthen alignment between TMHNA safety and environmental objectives and dealer operations and independently identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Share and facilitate implementation of enterprise-wide best practices, key safety and environmental policies, Kaizen ideas, and lessons learned.
  • Support incident prevention, investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow-up processes.
  • Provide technical guidance to dealers regarding regulatory compliance.
  • Develop, coordinate, and support safety and environmental training and awareness programs and provide coaching, feedback, and technical guidance to dealer leadership and safety representatives.
  • Independently conduct Genchi Genbutsu/dealer visits, including safety and environmental inspections, audits, needs assessments, and technician ride-alongs to identify workplace hazards and unsafe practices.
  • Promote and support standardization of safe work procedures, PPE, tool use, and safe-driving practices for dealer technicians.
  • Lead implementation of enterprise-wide dealer purchasing initiatives such as vehicle dash cameras, PPE, and other identified safety resources.
  • Conduct Safety Policy/Handbook gap assessments and work with dealers to identify and address gaps.
  • Lead monthly safety meetings with dealer safety representatives.
  • Provide guidance and resources to support dealer safety culture development and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate communication of customer safety requirements applicable to dealer technicians.
  • Develop and conduct safety presentations at key meetings and other appropriate forums.
  • Coordinate dealer reassessments using a safety culture survey and identify improvement opportunities based on results.
  • Support dealer ergonomics initiatives, including ASEC certification calibration, ergonomic JHAs such as the Tire Press assessment, and Stretch & Flex communications.
  • Support property/auto insurance and claims management, including workers’ compensation and injury-management activities, and serve as a liaison to the TINA Risk Manager.
  • Participate in Dealer Loss Controls visits, annual property insurance inspections, industrial hygiene activities, and risk-reduction follow-up.
  • Serve as a primary TMHNA point of contact for assigned dealer safety initiatives and projects involving external safety consultants.
  • Independently manage multiple complex dealer safety projects and initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Six or more years of Safety or related field experience required.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, transportation, field service, or servicing environment preferred.
  • EHS-related professional certifications such as OSHA 10/30, ASP, CSP, or CHMM preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage safety programs, projects, assessments, and investigations.

  • Travel Required: quite a bit of domestic travel to dealers will be involved

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
