People & Property Services (PPS) Overview:

Toyota’s People & Property Services (P&PS) Department is responsible for managing commodities that help solidify Toyota as an employer of choice. Through exceptional customer service, P&PS aims to provide a satisfying workplace that allows Team Members to work efficiently and creatively. In scope commodities include dining, fitness centers and sports fields, landscape/grounds maintenance, uniform programs, janitorial, credit unions, vehicle services, family support services/childcare programs, and holiday decor.

People & Property Services (P&PS) is looking for passionate and highly motivated intern. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide proactive support to local operations, as well as North American assignments, as needed. Areas of focus will include establishing and improving robust strategies to improve Team Member experiences, support of site operations in auditing and sensing existing programs and establishing relationships with Toyota’s valued vendors. Additional responsibilities could include monitoring the impact of new technologies.

What you’ll be doing

  • Developing a plan to expand Toyota’s Family Support Services Program
  • Assist internal communications to broadcast services and improve Team Member interaction points with P&PS
  • Diagnose a problem through audit data and work with a team to investigate sustainable solutions
  • Work with team members in multiple areas – clarifying their questions, providing standard responses when available, and escalate using good judgment
  • Helping Toyota manage vendors through proactive communication and monitoring contractual obligations

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have the right to work in the United States and not require Toyota sponsorship for immigration-related employment (including, but not limited to H-1B, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, TN, or F-1 OPT extension) now or in the future
  • Minimum GPA of 2.7 or higher
  • Must have completed at least one full academic year at a two- or four-year college or university post-high school (sophomore standing or above)
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time, accredited degree program (this includes both two-year and four-year colleges) studying in a business discipline or related field, such as:Technology Solutions Hospitality Business Administration Operations Management Logistics Marketing Project Management
