Sales & Business Development Overview:

Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. Inc. (TMS) supports Toyota and Lexus dealerships in the U.S., ensuring that the needs of both driver and dealer are accommodated throughout the sales process. Every vehicle sold in the U.S. depends upon this extensive network of dedicated professionals who align business strategy, IT, data analytics, sales and marketing resources nationwide.

What you’ll be doing:

The Sales Operations Summer Internship is a 12-week summer program that provides an up-close look at the Corporate side of the Automotive World in one of our 14 nation-wide Toyota and Lexus offices. Interns will be responsible for various analysis and projects within the regional offices. They’ll gain working knowledge of daily sales operations and complete rotations in either Vehicle Sales, Vehicle Supply, Incentives and Merchandising, Social Media and Digital Marketing, E-commerce, Product Training, Customer Retention, Parts and Service Marketing, etc.

Shadow Field Travelers - Interns will gain firsthand knowledge of Toyota and Lexus operations while shadowing senior field travelers on their Dealership consulting contacts.

Typical Career Path – Summer Internship (12 weeks) > Management Trainee (MT) Program (18 months) > Field Traveler

  • San Francisco Region (San Ramon, CA)

Lexus Area Offices:

  • Lexus Eastern Area (Parsippany, NJ)
  • Lexus Central Area (Naperville, IL)
  • Lexus Southern Area (Alpharetta, GA)
  • Lexus Western Area (Irvine, CA)

What you bring:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Preferred 3.0 and above GPA
  • Must have completed at least one full academic year at a two- or four-year college or university post-high school (sophomore standing or above)
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time, accredited degree program (this includes both two-year and four-year colleges) studying in a Business discipline or related field, such as:Business Administration Business Analytics Economics Finance International Business Management Management Information Systems Marketing Sales

The annual base salary range for this position is $49,000.00 - $97,200.00.Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan.
