The posting

Trackman Diamond Sports (TMDS) is seeking a Senior Product Manager to oversee its Insights product area. This is a critical new role within the Diamond Sports product organization and will report to the President, Diamond Sports. The Insights Sr. Product Manager will own the strategy, development and execution of TMDS’s data visualization product suite — primarily video and reporting tools — that help customers unlock the full value of Trackman’s ball, bat and player tracking data.

This role sits at the intersection of data, product and customer experience. The Insights Product Manager will work closely with R&D, Operations and commercial teams to build and iterate on products that translate complex tracking data into clear, compelling and actionable insights for coaches, players, etc. across the diamond sports landscape.

The ideal candidate will be a baseball/softball obsessive with a strong product instinct, a deep appreciation for data and analytics, and a genuine passion for helping customers get more out of the technology they use.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Own the product roadmap for TMDS’s insights product suite, including video tools and reporting products, and drive alignment across the organization
  • Deeply understand how TMDS customers consume and act on tracking data, and translate those needs into product requirements and priorities
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle for insights products, from discovery and scoping through to launch and iteration
  • Partner with R&D team to build scalable, intuitive visualization and reporting products that surface meaningful insights from ball, bat and player tracking data
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Trackman data platform and product portfolio to ensure insights products are fully integrated
  • Develop network of insightful customers and gather continuous feedback through to sharpen the product roadmap and improve existing features
  • Define and monitor key product performance indicators to measure customer engagement, adoption and satisfaction
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations and Customer Support to ensure high quality product rollout, customer onboarding and ongoing success
  • Identify opportunities for new insights products and features that extend TMDS’s portfolio
  • Stay current on trends in sports technology, data visualization and analytics tools to ensure TMDS remains at the forefront of the industry
  • Contribute to TMDS leadership team discussions and broader department strategy
  • Deeply understand competitive tracking and insights landscapes to ensure Trackman’s product portfolio is best-in-class
  • Travel as needed to customer sites, company events and industry conferences

Desired Education and/or Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 7+ years’ experience in product management, ideally within sports technology, data analytics or a related field
  • Passion for baseball and softball — deep knowledge of how the game is played and how data is used by coaches and analysts
  • Demonstrated experience building and shipping data visualization or analytics products
  • Strong ability to synthesize complex data concepts and customer needs into clear, prioritized product requirements
  • Comfort working with large datasets and familiarity with data structures common in sports tracking environments
  • Experience working cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, Operations and Customer Support
  • Excellent communicator — able to present ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Self-starter with personal drive and a demonstrated willingness to go the extra mile
