Where is the work:

Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.

Job Summary: Trane Technologies Co-Op Program provides current college students with meaningful assignments, leadership training, valuable exposure to our company's senior leaders and opportunities to network. Our Co-Op program is offered to students pursuing a degree in Engineering from concentrations such as Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace and more. Co-ops will operate full-time from January to August or May to December as we work with your University towards Academic Credit for your work.

What you will do: In this role you will:

  • Use product electrical schematics to assess opportunities for product optimizations, troubleshooting, and design for manufacturing
  • Data Center Chiller electrical component selection and assembly implementation
  • Review electronic component datasheets and specifications to identify substitute parts.
  • Manage, manipulate, and organize large component pricing MS Excel spreadsheets.
  • Effectively meet the needs of internal and external customers.

What you will bring:

  • Pursuing a BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related major with a cumulative overall GPA at or above 3.0
  • Must be available to work Full-time for 6-8 consecutive months (January-August or May-December)
  • Views problems as opportunities and can adapt quickly to new or changing business circumstances.
  • Eagerly and proactively seek new information, skills, and experiences, capitalizing on learning opportunities.
  • Works effectively with others to coordinate efforts and produce results in a positive work environment.
  • Motivated to leverage key learnings and experiences to grow your own career while contributing to the growth of Trane Technologies.
  • Proficient in problem-solving skills, with the ability to define and identify the underlying causes of complex operational issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to strategically evaluate alternative options and make informed decisions to achieve specific objectives or goals.
  • Willing to be mobile and relocate anywhere in the United States
  • U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
