Compensation: $385,000 - $550,000 base; total compensation $1M - $1.5M with equity

The client helps regulated enterprises, including Fortune 500 companies and top global banks, deploy AI that is reliable, secure, observable and production-ready, with evaluation frameworks, real-time guardrails, hallucination checks and red-teaming. Experian is among its public customers.

Founded in 2021, the client closed a $19M Series A and is growing toward 100 people.

The Role

The client is hiring a Director of Engineering to scale its engineering organization from about 25 people to a significantly larger, globally distributed team, with direct accountability for hiring, leadership development, operating cadence and technical execution.

What You Will Do

  • Build out engineering from roughly 25 to 100+ people across regions.
  • Hire and develop engineering leaders.
  • Set operating cadence and technical execution standards.
  • Provide credibility across AI engineering and production deployment infrastructure.
  • Represent engineering externally through technical communication.

  • Scaled an engineering org from about 25 to 100+ people with direct accountability
  • Global, distributed team leadership
  • Technical depth across AI engineering and deployment infrastructure
  • Post-Series B scaling experience at a high-growth company
  • Top-tier university background
