Position Summary:

We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our dynamic 15-bed Women’s Services Department. This role involves working primarily 12-hour shifts, three times per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record all pertinent data in patient medical records
  • Perform patient care tasks according to established policies and procedures
  • Ensure patient safety and privacy at all times
  • Interpret and document fetal monitor tracings accurately
  • Place fetal scalp electrodes as needed and appropriate
  • Prepare patients for C-sections safely and efficiently
  • Understand and execute physician orders for postpartum care
  • Adapt nursing care to changing patient needs
  • Follow epidural anesthesia protocols
  • Assist effectively during vaginal deliveries, including vacuum or forceps delivery
  • Provide appropriate newborn care at delivery

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree or higher in Nursing
  • Experience: Previous clinical experience in medical and obstetrical nursing preferred
  • License: Current Nevada RN license
  • Certifications: BLS (within 30 days of hire), ACLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation within 90 days of hire

Schedule:

  • Day shifts, 10+ hours per shift
  • Rotating weekends
