Job Description:

Bring stories to life through the power of video, visual creativity, and strategic storytelling.

Trinity University is seeking an accomplished multimedia professional who combines exceptional video production expertise with the creative vision, project leadership, and hands-on technical skills to transform ideas into compelling visual experiences.

Serving as a senior-level visual storyteller and lead multimedia producer within Strategic Communications & Marketing, this role takes ownership of multimedia initiatives from initial concept and creative development through production, implementation, and final delivery. With an emphasis on high-quality video production and photography, this individual will develop engaging content that strengthens the University's brand and connects with audiences across digital platforms, social media, marketing campaigns, websites, and print publications.

Operating as a player-coach, this individual combines creative leadership with hands-on production expertise, actively developing and executing multimedia projects while mentoring junior staff and student employees. The position plays a pivotal role in shaping Trinity's visual storytelling strategy by establishing video production standards, developing efficient workflows, managing multiple creative initiatives, and collaborating with campus stakeholders, strategists, designers, and writers to shape creative direction and bring integrated marketing campaigns to life.

The ideal candidate brings more than technical production expertise. They are a creative problem-solver, strategic thinker, and hands-on project leader who can translate institutional goals into powerful visual narratives that inspire prospective students, engage alumni, support fundraising initiatives, and showcase the Trinity University experience.

JOB DUTIES

  • Leads the development and production of high-impact multimedia content—including photography, video, and motion graphics—tailored to Trinity’s brand voice and strategic priorities across a variety of platforms and audiences.
  • Originates and develops creative concepts for university campaigns and initiatives, translating strategic objectives into visual storytelling approaches and presenting recommended creative directions to department leadership and campus stakeholders.
  • Manages assigned multimedia projects from concept through completion, serving as primary production contact for campus stakeholders: scoping deliverables, establishing timelines, coordinating contributors, resolving competing priorities, and delivering final assets on schedule.
  • Serves as technical lead and mentor for student employees, interns, and junior creative staff — assigning and reviewing work, providing training, hands-on instruction, and quality control, and advancing students through the department's tiered development framework.
  • Establishes and maintains the department's video production standards and workflows, including capture specifications, project and file organization, editing and color pipelines, review and approval stages, and delivery formats; trains team members and student contributors on their use.
  • Plans and leads complex productions, including pre-production logistics, location scouting, lighting, directing talent, and post-production editing and finishing.
  • Contributes to integrated campaign development with cross-functional partners, offering creative insight and shaping visual storytelling strategies.
  • Recommends and administers multimedia equipment and software: researches and evaluates tools, advises on purchases and upgrades, maintains inventory and operational readiness, and manages equipment check-out for team and student use.
  • Champions brand consistency and quality control, ensuring all visual content meets Trinity's brand standards, and ensures proper archiving and accessibility of digital assets within the University's digital asset management (DAM) system per established metadata protocols.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies.
  • Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
