Senior Project Manager – Government Construction / Nevada Qualifier

Trueline | Las Vegas, NV | Full-time Base Salary: $175,000–$225,000, depending on experience and qualifications Company truck + performance bonuses + potential path to profit-sharing

Trueline is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead government construction projects, oversee construction operations, and serve as our Nevada qualifying individual.

This opportunity combines hands-on project management with the chance to become a key construction leader. You’ll work directly with ownership, make decisions that shape the business, and help build the team and subcontractor relationships needed for continued growth.

Projects range from $100,000 to $10 million and include government facility renovations, demolition, HVAC upgrades, and general building improvements involving multiple trades.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage federal, state, and municipal construction projects from planning and subcontractor buyout through completion and closeout.
  • Own project budgets, schedules, procurement, change orders, and financial performance.
  • Coordinate superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and government representatives.
  • Lead projects involving HVAC, demolition, electrical, carpentry, and other building trades.
  • Resolve construction issues and maintain standards for safety, quality, and contract compliance.
  • Serve as the company’s Nevada qualifying individual, with active authority and oversight over construction operations.
  • Partner with ownership on staffing, project planning, operational improvements, and business growth.
  • Build and maintain dependable subcontractor and field leadership relationships.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years of construction experience, including substantial project management responsibility.
  • Federal, state, or municipal construction experience.
  • Experience managing general contracting projects involving multiple trades.
  • Strong skills in budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, change orders, and project closeout.
  • The ability to make construction decisions independently and lead in a growing organization.
  • Willingness and ability to serve as the company’s Nevada qualifying individual.
  • A clean contractor licensing history.
  • Availability for up to 50% travel, primarily within Nevada, with occasional California travel.
  • A Las Vegas-area home base or willingness to relocate.

A college degree is not required.

Nevada Qualifier Requirements

Current or previous experience as a Nevada B-2 or Class B qualifier is strongly preferred.

Experienced government construction leaders who are not currently Nevada qualifiers may also be considered if they meet qualification requirements and can obtain Nevada State Contractors Board approval within the required hiring timeline. Candidates with relevant California, Arizona, or Utah qualifications are encouraged to apply.

If you currently serve as another company’s qualifier, you must be able to coordinate a timely transition. Please include your license classification, state, and current qualifier status with your application.

Especially Valuable

  • Experience with the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, National Park Service, Bureau of Reclamation, or similar government customers.
  • Projects at military installations, national laboratories, or other government facilities.
  • Leadership experience with a small or midsize government general contractor.
  • California contractor qualification or California public-sector construction experience.
  • Established relationships with superintendents and subcontractors.
  • Experience overseeing several projects simultaneously.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $175,000–$225,000 base salary, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Company truck.
  • Performance bonus opportunities.
  • Potential path to profit-sharing based on performance.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 15 days of paid time off.
  • 401(k).
  • Relocation assistance available for the right candidate.

Location and Travel

This role is based in the Las Vegas area, with flexibility to work from home between job-site visits and project responsibilities. Travel may be up to 50%, primarily within Nevada, including projects as far as Ely.

Sacramento-area candidates qualified in both Nevada and California may also be considered.

Apply

Submit your resume and a brief overview of your government construction projects. Please include any contractor license classifications you hold, whether you currently serve as a qualifying individual, and your availability to transition into this role.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
