As our HR Business Partner, you’ll be a hands-on people partner across TYTAN, with a core focus on Engineering. Working closely with team leads and their teams, you’ll help build a high-performance culture where people can do their best work, grow, and deliver meaningful impact. You’ll be a trusted first point of contact for people-related matters, translating our People strategy into practical actions that drive performance, accountability, and engagement. From performance management and talent development to team effectiveness and organisational design, you’ll help leaders, develop, and retain top talent, ensuring our people processes support both individual excellence and business success. At the same time, you’ll bring insights from the teams back into our People strategy, continuously improving how we enable high performance across TYTAN.
Your Roadmap to make an impact.
Strategic Partnership with Engineering Leadership
- Act as a close, trusted sparring partner to Engineering leads on team structure, growth and leadership questions
- Identify organisational friction early (span of control, unclear ownership, role overlaps) and actively bring solutions to the table
- Run regular, structured check-ins with Engineering leads, not just when issues escalate
Performance & Culture
- Own the delivery and quality of performance cycles in Leapsome, with a focus on Engineering, including the 9-box process and calibration with leads
- Join all performance and probation reviews to catch early warning signs and support consistent assessments
- Coach leads through feedback conversations, especially the difficult ones: probation, low performance and role changes
- Develop and embed the accountability culture of Project TYTAN MODE in teams’ day-to-day work
- Monitor early indicators of team culture and engagement, and address them proactively
- Design and deliver training for employees and leads on a range of topics
Workforce Planning & Talent Interface
- Collaborate closely with our Talent Acquisition Manager and CTO on headcount planning, role profiles and prioritisation of open Engineering roles
- Help define new roles and career paths within the growing Engineering organisation
- Actively shape the onboarding experience for new hires, especially in Engineering, and keep time-to-productivity in focus
Employee Relations & Coaching
- Be the first point of contact for employees and leads on sensitive employment-law or interpersonal matters
- Lead probation and conflict conversations alongside the respective leads, with a focus on psychological safety
- Handle cases confidentially, in coordination with the HR Lead and, where relevant, our whistle blowing process
Organisational Development
- Feed Engineering data and insight into our company-wide team and role architecture
- Co-design HR processes from an Engineering perspective, so they’re practical for technical teams, not just generalist-friendly
- Support re-organization, team splits and new leadership layers.
Must-have
- Several years of experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally supporting technical or Engineering teams
- Experience in a fast-growing scale-up or start-up, where ambiguity is the norm, not the exception
- Confidence with performance management processes and structured feedback formats
- Strong advisory skills: you guide and challenge leads as a peer, rather than just executing process
- Business-fluent German and English (our teams, especially in Engineering, are international)
Nice-to-have
- Experience in hardware, manufacturing or deep-tech environments
- Basic understanding of Engineering role architecture (IC tracks, technical career paths)
- Experience with Leapsome or a comparable performance/engagement tool
