Job Description
About the Role
Uber Health and Uber Transit aim to reduce access barriers through transportation. Uber Transit works with global transit agencies to help them complement their transit network with Uber’s fleet, and Uber Health helps thousands of organizations streamline transportation coordination, boost operational efficiency, and help people stay connected to the care and services they rely on across the healthcare ecosystem, ranging from providers such as health systems to NEMT brokers.
The Customer Operations team supports our go-to-market teams with operational excellence: delivering data-driven account insights, solving time-sensitive problems, monitoring and improving reliability, and driving the business forward through strategic projects.
Uber is looking for a sharp, results-and-product-oriented, analytical operator to join our team. If you enjoy managing complex projects across multiple cross-functional business units, love building the playbook as you go, getting things done, and diving deep into the details, then this role is for you. The ideal candidate will be an operator who can thrive in an ambiguous environment and figure out what needs to be done next, brings strong collaboration and communication skills, is an upbeat and creative problem solver, and is passionate about access to transportation and healthcare.
What You’ll Do
This role is deeply analytical, frequently customer-facing, and involves creative problem solving. You will be expected to drive high-impact operational projects, automate manual processes, run data analysis to improve business performance, and partner consultatively with internal stakeholders and external enterprise clients.
Your core functions will include:
- Customer pillar expert: Serve as the primary operations point of contact for go-to-market teams within your pillar for detailed analyses, custom solutions consulting, ad-hoc reporting, time-sensitive problems, and identifying operational growth opportunities. You’ll advocate for customers internally, partner with cross-functional teams (marketplace ops, Growth Bet operations, product, engineering, marketing and legal, etc.) and present directly to external clients at large transportation and healthcare companies when an operations expert is needed.
- Custom solutions & non-standard execution: Design, document, and execute non-standard operational practices and processes to ensure long-term consistency and high-quality execution. You will need to learn how to use internal tools quickly to support these custom solutions and have strong project management skills to keep stakeholders moving along with you.
- Deep Dive Analysis & Analytics: Bring an "analytics eye" to deep dive into customer data, extract insights, and take operational account ownership for your pillar. You’ll measure reliability, partner with customer teams to understand operational requirements and account potential, and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as pricing and Deal Desk and Strategy and Planning.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of operations, project management, analytics, or consulting experience.
- Strong proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and proficient in SQL.
- Comfortable speaking in front of customers and executives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Quick learner: Demonstrated ability to learn and master new internal tools quickly.
- Analytics and automation: Strong dashboard building and use of AI and/or scripts to pull insights and recommendations out of raw data independently, and automate solutions.
- People and impact-oriented: You intuitively understand how features and processes impact customers, users, and internal colleagues, and you care about the outcomes.
- Balance attention to detail with swift execution: Capable of doing things quickly while maintaining a high bar for quality.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a self-starter mindset: Unfazed by executing on projects where all information is not available and priorities shift.
- A “driver” personality: Biased toward action, great collaborator, and a master disambiguator/simplifier constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery.
Responsibilities
For New York City, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,000 per year.
You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
