Processes backup, restore, retention, and access requests per established procedures and approvals, and assists with backup policy implementation, reporting, capacity monitoring, platform maintenance, and recovery testing.
  • Completes routine data center and backup incidents, service requests, tasks, and change records within established service expectations. Troubleshoots equipment connectivity, cabling, hardware access, and backup status issues; provides remote-hands support for infrastructure, cloud, networking, storage, security, and application teams as well as campus stakeholders; and communicates ticket status, findings, risks, and required actions to customers and technical partners.
  • Works closely with the Private Cloud Architect and Manager to evaluate and implement data center and backup improvements. Coordinates with server, storage, network, facilities, cybersecurity, and application teams on infrastructure changes; supports equipment lifecycle planning, capacity reviews, technology refreshes, and vendor activities; assists with backup configuration for new or changed systems; and participates in maintenance windows, recovery exercises, and audits.
  • Maintains accurate rack elevations, cable records, equipment inventories, procedures, diagrams, ticket notes, and knowledge articles. Follows physical security, change management, safety, equipment handling, and data protection requirements; produces routine backup and data center operational reports; and recommends improvements to monitoring, documentation, maintenance, and service reliability.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting enterprise data center operations, including equipment installation, rack and stack activities, structured cabling, hardware lifecycle management, and facility maintenance.
  • Experience administering or supporting enterprise backup and recovery platforms, preferably Commvault Cloud, including backup monitoring, restores, retention management, troubleshooting, and recovery testing.
  • Knowledge of data center infrastructure concepts, including servers, storage systems, networking, power distribution, cooling systems, environmental monitoring, and physical security controls.
  • Experience working within IT service management (ITSM) environments and following incident, request, change management, and documentation processes using a ticketing system.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation such as equipment inventories, rack elevations, network and cabling records, standard operating procedures, diagrams, and knowledge base articles.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
