Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Tax Intern to join our EMEA Tax team in Arnhem. In this role you will be involved in various tax compliance/tax accounting and tax analytical matters in UL Solution’s EMEA region.

Are you in the final stage of your studies, completing an internship as part of your last semester, or a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in an international Tax environment? This internship is a great opportunity to work alongside our EMEA tax team, gain practical experience and get exposure to the (tax) challenges that come with operating in a complex, global environment.

We are looking for someone that is eager, curious and willing to learn how to connect theory with practice.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the quarterly preparation of EMEA legal entity income tax provision.
  • Assist in the EMEA income tax compliance process.
  • Assist with reviewing financial statements to assure that adequate tax disclosures have been made.
  • Learning how to communicate and explain tax results to finance peers in a concise and comprehendible manner.
  • Learning to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal partners and peers in accounting/finance.

Qualifications

  • Student of Fiscal Economics/ Dutch Tax Law from a University (or a University of Applied Sciences).
  • 0 - 1 years of tax experience gained with other interships/working student positions.
  • Interest in learning and/or developing tax accounting rules and tax provision computations
  • Ability to interpret domestic (Dutch) and international tax concepts and regulations or the willingness to learn.
  • The ability to be direct, resourceful, meticulous, and results driven and especially to ask for help when needed.
  • Some level of project management skills and the desire to work both cross-functionally and -culturally.
  • Take a proactive and collaborative approach to solving problems.
  • English writing and communication skills. Dutch is a nice to have.
  • Most importantly is: motivation + willingness to learn.
