The posting

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to manage and deliver IT infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of hands-on experience managing end-to-end IT infrastructure projects, with strong technical knowledge, project execution capabilities and proven customer management skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering infrastructure projects within agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards while ensuring effective coordination between customers, technical teams, vendors and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

  • Manage the complete project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring and closure.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, resource allocation plans and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets and contractual commitments.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular project review meetings and provide progress updates to management.

2. IT Infrastructure Project Management

  • Manage the implementation and deployment of IT infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee data centre infrastructure, server deployment and network infrastructure projects.
  • Manage LAN, WAN, WLAN, structured cabling, routing, switching and firewall implementations.
  • Coordinate virtualization, cloud infrastructure, storage, SAN, NAS and backup solutions.
  • Manage Microsoft infrastructure, Active Directory and Windows Server projects.
  • Oversee infrastructure upgrades, migrations and technology refresh initiatives.

3. Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Understand customer requirements and ensure alignment with technical deliverables.
  • Conduct customer meetings, project reviews and progress presentations.
  • Manage expectations, resolve issues and handle project escalations.
  • Coordinate project acceptance, handover and final sign-off.

4. Resource & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate with technical teams, engineers, presales, procurement, logistics and operations.
  • Allocate resources based on project requirements and priorities.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers and technology partners.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure timely execution of project activities.

5. Commercial & Financial Management

  • Prepare and monitor project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Track project expenses, resource costs and profitability.
  • Manage scope variations, change requests and additional requirements.
  • Coordinate with finance and commercial teams on invoicing and payment milestones.
  • Ensure contractual and commercial obligations are fulfilled.

6. Risk Management, Quality & Reporting

  • Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning and quality assurance activities.
  • Maintain project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, risk registers and issue logs.
  • Ensure proper technical documentation, approvals and project handover reports.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in IT Infrastructure Project Management.
  • Must have prior professional experience in the UAE.
  • Strong understanding of networking, servers, storage, virtualization, cybersecurity and data centre technologies.
  • Proven experience managing multiple IT infrastructure projects simultaneously.
  • Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience coordinating technical teams, vendors, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Experience with enterprise customers, government entities or large organisations will be an added advantage.

Preferred Certifications

PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL or relevant project management and infrastructure certifications will be an advantage.
