The posting

Earlier this year, Unilever announced an agreement to combine its Foods business with McCormick & Company, creating a scaled global flavor powerhouse. The proposed combination would bring together iconic Foods brands, including Hellmann’s and Knorr, with McCormick’s portfolio to create a global leader across spices, seasonings, condiments and complementary food categories, supported by strong retail and foodservice platforms. McCormick brings more than 135 years of heritage, a presence in 150+ countries and territories, and a portfolio of trusted brands. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions, with completion estimated for mid-2027.

Partner with carriers, 3PLs, customer operations, planning, warehousing, procurement, and finance to help ensure service commitments are met while improving transportation performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Associate Transportation Manager, Ambient supports day-to-day transportation execution and continuous improvement across the ambient network. This role helps ensure products move safely, on time, at the right cost, and in alignment with customer needs and business priorities. The role also provides analytical, operational, and cross-functional support to improve carrier performance, service reliability, cost management, and sustainability outcomes.

  • Monitor daily transportation execution for ambient shipments, partnering with carriers, 3PLs, warehouses, planning, customer service, and customer operations to resolve service risks and delivery exceptions.

  • Support carrier and 3PL governance routines by preparing performance insights, identifying root causes, documenting actions, and following through on improvement plans.
  • Partner with procurement, finance, and logistics stakeholders to support cost-to-serve initiatives, freight savings opportunities, tender preparation, and network optimization efforts.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to improve transportation processes, data accuracy, pallet management, returns, stock-in-transit visibility, and issue resolution.
  • Contribute to safety, compliance, and sustainability objectives by supporting carrier adherence to operating standards and identifying opportunities to reduce waste, miles, and carbon impact.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain operations, customer operations, warehousing, or a closely related operational environment.
  • Working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes, transportation execution, carrier performance, and service/cost trade-offs.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, communicate insights, and support fact-based decision-making.
  • Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across internal teams and external partners.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with transportation management systems, warehouse management systems, ERP tools, Power BI, Excel, or other reporting/analytics platforms.
  • Experience supporting carrier management, 3PL governance, freight procurement, continuous improvement, or cost savings initiatives.
  • Familiarity with consumer goods, food, ambient product distribution, customer service logistics, or sustainability-focused transportation initiatives.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
