Together we can do great things. Be part of something bigger.

Here, you can continue to make a difference in everything around you. Take on new challenges, grow your career, be recognised for your contributions, and benefit from our commitment to your wellbeing. Be part of something bigger — where your work has real impact and your development matters. There are so many reasons to take your next step with us.

From student accommodation to café’s restaurants and hotels, this is a 24/7 organisation that embraces the traditional and the modern in equal measure. From historical buildings to state of the art technical and research hubs our mission is to ‘enrich student learning and growth as well as impact our local communities’ and our values drive everything we do.

We are looking for confident, proactive individuals to join our Out of Hours Response Team, delivering a professional and responsive front-line service across our estate.

The Opportunity:

As an Out of Hours Response Officer, you will be at the centre of operations overnight, responding to incidents, supporting residents and maintaining a safe, inclusive and well managed environment. This includes welfare concerns, fire alarm activations, security issues and urgent maintenance matters, often as the first point of contact.

This is a highly visible, fast paced role where no two shifts are the same. You will carry out patrols, respond to calls, provide first aid and work closely with internal teams and external services to resolve situations effectively.

We are looking for individuals who are calm under pressure, confident in dealing with people and able to make sound decisions in dynamic situations. Having a valid UK driver’s license is essential.

At ACE our mission is to ‘enrich student learning and growth as well as impact our local communities.’ Our values drive everything we do:

Are you PASSIONATE about making a difference?

Do you like to COLLABORATE and achieve things as a team?

Is INCLUSION at the forefront of all you do?

Do you thrive when given OWNERSHIP?

Are you inspired by INNOVATION and excited to bring new ideas to life?

A career with us has a range of other benefits that can be tailored to your lifestyle:

  • Good salary/pay rates
  • Excellent benefits and support
  • Contributing to the work and purpose of the University

Location: Pollock Halls, 18 Holyrood Park Road, Edinburgh, EH16 5AY

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
