University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Care Workers. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their daily living activities, helping to enhance their quality of life and promote independence. This position is based in Farmington Hills, MI, and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide support with mobility and transferring to ensure client safety.
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Monitor and report changes in clients’ physical or emotional condition.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Follow care plans and communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a caregiving or healthcare role is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and assisting clients.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, compassionate, and patient with a passion for helping others.
  • Must pass background checks.
