University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide quality care and support to clients in Newport, MI. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities to promote independence and enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Help with mobility and transferring clients safely.
  • Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior to supervisors.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in personal care or home care is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate patience and compassion.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Must be able to pass background checks.
