About Our Client

We are looking for "Consumer Business Development Manager — Egypt" for our global client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the Egyptian consumer market: segments, price points, replacement vs. first-time buyers, regional differences
  • Evaluate and recommend the channel mix — traditional dealers, modern trade / MDC chains, e-commerce and online marketplaces, direct-to-consumer — with a clear build sequence and investment need
  • Define the consumer product priorities for Egypt together with product management (which lines, which price positions)
  • Set the commercial model: pricing structure, margins, and incentive/rebate framework per channel
  • Build the business plan: sell-out targets, channel coverage targets, brand and promotion needs, and required team
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop partners in the selected channels; negotiate listings with retail/MDC chains where chosen
  • Deliver sell-out and market share targets; run regular field visits and channel performance reviews
  • Build channel capabilities: sales training, product knowledge, installation quality standards with partners
  • Launch products and run promotional campaigns with marketing teams; ensure in-store and online visibility
  • Coordinate with after-sales to secure consumer-grade service levels (speed, coverage, spare parts)
  • Collect and report market intelligence: pricing, competitor moves, consumer trends
  • Build the consumer team as the business scales

Required Qualifications/skills:

  • 7+ years in consumer durables/consumer electronics / residential HVAC sales in Egypt, with proven experience in at least two of: dealer networks, modern trade (retail chains), e-commerce,
  • Experience building or significantly expanding a consumer channel,
  • Strong commercial planning skills: business cases, channel P&L, pricing and rebate design,
  • Knows the Egyptian retail landscape and key accounts; competitor experience (consumer AC/appliance brands) is a strong plus,
  • Entrepreneurial, comfortable with ambiguity, able to work alone before a team exists
