We're looking for an "Process Engineer" with strong expertise in sintered NdFeB magnet manufacturing.
*International candidates are welcome, with relocation support to India or Estonia.
Position Summary
The Process Engineer will support the design, industrialization, commissioning, validation, and ongoing optimization of manufacturing processes for greenfield sintered neodymium-iron-boron, or NdFeB, magnet facility in India.
Reporting to the Plant Engineering Director, the Process Engineer will translate product, quality, capacity, cost, safety, and customer requirements into capable and controlled manufacturing processes. The role will work closely with equipment suppliers, technology providers, project engineering, operations, quality, EHS, maintenance, automation, supply chain, and global technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and document manufacturing processes for sintered NdFeB magnet production.Translate product specifications, production volumes, quality requirements, and customer expectations into robust process requirements.
- Prepare process flow diagrams, process descriptions, mass balances, capacity calculations, cycle-time analyses, equipment requirements, and other engineering documentation.
- Support the development of plant layouts, material-flow concepts, equipment interfaces, work-cell designs, and utility requirements.
- Participate in process design reviews to assess safety, manufacturability, process control, maintainability, capacity, quality, scalability, and cost.
- Identify technical risks, process constraints, and potential failure modes during the design and industrialization phases.
Sintered Magnet Manufacturing Processes
