The posting

We are partnering with a high-potential marketplace startup in the UAE to build their founding team. Our partner is a taste-driven style exchange platform where people discover, share, and pass forward the things they love — curated by real people with a genuine point of view. We're building the infrastructure for that exchange to happen seamlessly, at scale, across MENA. This is not a role you inherit; it's one you build.

At Uplift, we work closely with our clients not only to fill roles but to shape the core teams that will define their success. These positions are part of the initial leadership layer, offering a rare opportunity to join at an early stage and directly influence how the business, product, and customer experience are built from the ground up.

THE ROLE

You will own the end-to-end product roadmap from discovery to delivery — ensuring we operate with a healthy product lifecycle process, measure what matters, and iterate fast toward product-market fit. A hands-on role for someone who pairs strong UI/UX ownership with data-driven decision making, working directly with the founders and our tech team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define post-MVP scope, the phased roadmap (MVP trust retention), and prioritisation (impact vs effort)
  • Write PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and launch plans; manage backlog health
  • Align cross-functional stakeholders (Tech, CX, Growth) on trade-offs, timelines, and dependencies

2. Execution & Iteration

  • Run the sprint cadence with engineering and design; unblock decisions daily
  • Own UI/UX quality end-to-end: flows, edge cases, trust signals, onboarding, and the listing journey
  • Define analytics events and dashboards: funnels, cohorts, conversion, and retention
  • Run experiments (A/B tests), monitor outcomes, and iterate quickly

3. Voice of Customer & Quality Loop

  • Build feedback loops from support and community into the roadmap: top issues and root causes
  • Translate operational pain points into product improvements (listing, search, checkout)
  • Ensure product readiness for launch: policies, comms, and operational handoffs

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 3–5 years of end-to-end product roadmap ownership (consumer apps / marketplace preferred)
  • Strong UI/UX ownership; design or development background
  • Data-driven operator: funnels, cohorts, conversion, retention
  • Fast, structured communicator who thrives in ambiguity and a high-pace environment
  • Previous UAE experience preferred



COMPENSATION & DETAILS

  • AED 10,000 / Month
  • Stock option opportunity for a successful candidate as we scale — discussed at offer stage
  • Full-time, Dubai-based; remote or part-time arrangements considered
  • High-ownership role shaping the platform's journey to product-market fit
  • Candidates with their own UAE visa or Golden Visa preferred
