Job Title: IT Helpdesk Support Work Location: Toa Payoh

Job Responsibilities :

  • Perform monthly hardware functionality checks on Dell PowerEdge T30 physical server.
  • Maintain VMware ESXi virtualisation platform and Windows Server 2012 R2, including startup configurations, Windows updates, endpoint security and disk management.
  • Maintain Synology DS218+ Network Attached Storage (NAS), including hardware checks, DSM updates, storage management and application updates.
  • Monitor and maintain backup solutions, including NAKIVO Backup, Synology Drive, Snapshot, Replication, Hyper Backup and Active Backup.
  • Administer Primary Domain Controller (PDC) and Active Directory, including user account creation and deletion, access rights, network drives and Group Policy management.
  • Support FortiGate 40F firewall/router, managed switches, VLANs, port forwarding and wireless network connectivity.
  • Provide hardware and software support for approximately 24 laptops and desktops, including Windows troubleshooting, antivirus updates and routine maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot network printer issues, internet connectivity, email and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Liaise with internet service providers and external vendors, including Qirom support, to resolve technical issues.
  • Respond to ad hoc user requests and provide on-site technical assistance for hardware failures, system errors and network connectivity issues.
  • Conduct bi-monthly on-site visits for workstation hardware and software maintenance.
  • Attend support requests within six hours on the same day or by the next business day, as required.
  • Maintain IT documentation and ensure the availability and reliability of the school's IT infrastructure.

Requirements :

  • Diploma or relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience in IT helpdesk support, desktop support, system administration and network troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy and VMware ESXi.
  • Experience with NAS devices, backup solutions and data recovery.
  • Familiarity with firewalls, routers, managed switches, VLANs and wireless networking.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with external vendors.
