This position is a 1 year, 30+ hours per week, Internship opportunity.
What You Will Do
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, gathering data and contributing to projections
- Participate in account reconciliation and general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Assist in cost analysis and tracking, identifying opportunities for efficiency and optimization
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures
- Support internal and external audit preparations, providing necessary documentation and information
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and provide financial insights
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned by senior finance staff
- Learn and apply company-specific financial software and systems
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to ethical standards
What You Should Have
- Currently be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business, preferably with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Prior internship/co-op experience with the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
- Have experience with budgeting and forecasting processes, gathering data, and contributing to projections
- Have experience with account reconciliation and general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Prior internship / co-op experience assisting in cost analysis and tracking, plus identifying opportunities for efficiency and optimization
- Experience with Google applications and financial softwares and systems
