About the Role Know composites? Good with details? Help keep wind turbines running safely. As a Blade Engineering Analyst, you will join our US-based renewable energy client's blade engineering team. You will review blade inspection data, categorise damage, and keep accurate records of inspections and repairs.
Complex decisions, repair approvals, and safety sign-off stay with the client's engineers at first. Your responsibilities will grow as you build experience.
What You'll Do Inspection Review • Review blade inspection images, reports, and operating data for completeness. • Identify and categorise visible blade damage using set categories and guidance. • Compare new findings with past records and flag changes or gaps. • Prioritise review queues using set severity and risk criteria. • Escalate unclear, high-severity, or safety-related findings to the client's engineer.
Records & Reporting • Enter and update inspection, damage, and repair data in the tracking system. • Prepare damage summaries, repair lists, status trackers, and routine reports. • Organise technical records for engineering reviews, warranty discussions, and root cause investigations.
Repair Support • Check repair records for photos, materials, dates, and closeout details. • Track open repair items and prepare questions for engineers and vendors. • Spot repeat damage patterns and raise possible fleet-wide issues. • Join coordination calls with engineers, site teams, and service providers.
What You Bring Must-Haves • Degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil, materials, chemical, or a related engineering field. • 2+ years of work experience in a related field. • Basic knowledge of composites, wind turbine blades, structural damage, or inspection methods. • Ability to read photos, inspection reports, drawings, and technical instructions. • Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping. • Clear written English and short, clear technical summaries. • Good skills in spreadsheets and standard office software.
Good to Have • Experience with composites, wind turbine blades, aircraft structures, or inspection data. • Experience in blade damage identification and severity rating. • Experience reviewing repair records or supporting repair closeout. • Experience with image-based inspection platforms or maintenance systems
