The posting

Company Description

Every day, millions of people do their work in the same few tools: where they write, share, plan and ask for help. When those tools are hard to use, people lose time searching, guessing and asking around. At Caelor, we build apps that make that everyday work simpler, so teams can find what they need, understand it quickly and get on with their job.

Our apps run inside Atlassian’s products (Jira and Confluence), used by companies all over the world. They turn Confluence into a real company intranet, make pages clear and easy to read, explain internal vocabulary right where people need it, and give every employee a simple way to request the equipment and services they need.

Caelor brings together the Vectors and Caelor teams under one name: about 40 people across Tunis, Paris, Wiesbaden, Split and Dubai, with Tunis as our largest office. We value collaboration across teams and countries, honest feedback, and a transparent, friendly way of working.

Job Description

About the role

Caelor builds apps that make Atlassian work the way people do, because tools should adapt to people, not the other way around. We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our delivery organization: about 15 people across product development squads, QA, release management and AI engineering. You’ll report to the CTO and own how we ship, so that every release of our Atlassian Marketplace apps is high quality and on schedule. You’ll also be the person engineers turn to for growth, feedback and removing obstacles.

This is a full-time management role. You won’t write production code day to day, but you’ll stay close enough to the technical work to understand trade-offs, challenge estimates and earn the trust of the engineers you lead.

What you’ll do

  • Lead people: manage and coach the two squad leads, run 1:1s, performance reviews and development plans, and build a culture of ownership.
  • Hire and onboard: own hiring for delivery, QA and release roles, and get newcomers productive fast.
  • Own delivery: planning, estimation, sprint cadence and releases, with a lightweight process shared across squads. Track predictability (cycle time, commitment accuracy, escaped defects).
  • Raise quality: manage the QA and Release Manager, move us toward automated testing, and run blameless post-incident reviews.
  • Coordinate: resolve priority and resource clashes between squads, and work with the Tech Lead and R&D on standards, security fixes and bringing prototypes (including AI) to production.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years managing software engineers (1:1s, reviews, hiring)
  • An engineering background strong enough to discuss architecture and technical debt
  • A track record of improving delivery predictability in agile teams, with concrete examples
  • Hands-on experience with QA practices, CI/CD and release processes
  • Direct communication: comfortable giving hard feedback and pushing back on unrealistic deadlines
  • Fluent English

Nice to have

  • Atlassian Marketplace apps (Forge, Connect, Data Center)
  • Managing team leads or several teams
  • Leading a move from manual to automated testing
  • SaaS experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001 or GDPR

Additional Information

What's in for you:

  • Attractive remuneration
  • Lunch voucher
  • Medical insurance
  • Annual performance bonuses
  • Flexible work hours
  • Hydride remote
  • 25 days: paid leave
  • Team building activities
  • Are you a geeky mom? You will keep your salary during your maternity leave and we are addressing flexible hours for working mums!

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
