The role

This is a genuinely varied and impactful role. You will own day-to-day HR operations (typically no more than half a day per week) while actively business partnering ~60–65 on-site employees and leading key people projects. You will be the go-to HR contact for managers and employees, find smarter ways to run processes, and help build a stronger people foundation; as part of a team of four, reporting to the (interim) Chief People Officer. You will work closely with our dedicated recruiter (on-site one day a week) and your US counterpart based in Boston.

In a typical week you might improve a process in HiBob, handle a few HR admin tasks, meet with people managers seeking advice, progress a strategic project, and connect with a vendor from our network- whilst staying open to whatever emerges in a fast-moving organisation.

This role is for you if you are equally comfortable in the detail and the bigger picture; handling payroll and contracts, driving process improvement, supporting managers on real people challenges, and contributing to strategic HR initiatives, sometimes all in the same week.

What you'll do

  • Own the end-to-end employee experience, from preboarding to offboarding, for employees in the Netherlands and a small number in France and the UK
  • Act as the primary HR business partner for people leaders and employees
  • Manage HR administration: contracts, leave, absence, and related processes, with a continuous eye for improvement
  • Lead process improvement initiatives: payroll, automation, vendor contracts, and system optimisation (we use HiBob)
  • Drive and support strategic HR projects, co-created quarterly with the full HR team
  • Collaborate weekly with HR team colleagues on where and how to create impact

What you bring

  • 5+ years of experience in HR Operations, People Operations or a generalist HR role
  • A strong sense of what good HR looks like, and the ambition to build it
  • The ability to prioritise effectively and switch between operational tasks, process improvement and strategic projects
  • Enthusiasm to work in a dynamic and international environment
  • Structure and detail orientation, with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset
  • Confident business partnering skills: you support managers and employees with honesty and care
  • Experience with HRIS systems; HiBob experience is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with Dutch payroll processes or working with a payroll provider is a plus

What we offer
