Spanish-Speaking Operations Customer Expert

Location: Portugal (Remote – anywhere in Portugal) Work Model: Fully Remote Employment Type: Full-time Language Requirement: Spanish C1–C2

About the Role

We are looking for a fluent Spanish-speaking Operations Customer Expert to join an international customer operations team in Portugal.

In this role, you will support customers with their enquiries, provide accurate information, resolve issues and ensure a positive customer experience. You will work in a dynamic, international environment, following established procedures and maintaining high service-quality standards.

Previous Customer Service experience is desired.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle customer enquiries and provide professional assistance in Spanish.
  • Manage customer requests and operational queries efficiently.
  • Investigate issues and provide appropriate solutions or guidance.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and update internal systems.
  • Follow established procedures, quality standards and service-level requirements.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience through clear and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with internal teams when additional support or escalation is required.

Requirements

  • Spanish proficiency at C1–C2 level (mandatory).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous Customer Service or Customer Support experience is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer-handling abilities.
  • Comfortable working with computer systems and digital tools.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Customer-oriented, organised and detail-focused approach.
  • Must be an EU citizen or hold valid Portuguese residency with authorisation to work in Portugal.

Salary & Benefits

Monthly Gross Compensation – Without Apartment

  • Base salary: €950
  • Christmas allowance: €79.16
  • Holiday allowance: €79.16
  • Meal allowance: €154 (€7 per working day)
  • Total gross monthly package: €1,262.33

Additional benefits:

  • Fully remote position – work from anywhere in Portugal.
  • Health insurance from the first day of the employment contract.
  • Meal allowance paid through a debit meal card.
  • Holiday and Christmas allowances paid in monthly instalments by default.

The figures above reflect the package without the company apartment benefit.

Contract Details

  • Selection Agreement signed to manage the final stage of recruitment.
  • Successful candidates will sign an employment contract for an unspecified term, with an expected duration of 12 months.
  • Employment beyond 2 years will transition to a permanent employment relationship.
  • Portuguese employment contract.
  • Income tax and Social Security contributions are deducted from gross compensation, excluding the meal allowance. Social Security is charged at the standard employee rate of 11%; income tax depends on the employee's individual tax profile.

Eligibility

Only EU citizens or candidates who already hold valid Portuguese residency with the right to work in Portugal are eligible.

Visa sponsorship is not available.
