Your Route Into Recruiting and Business Operations

Via Logic is looking for a Recruiter & Business Operations Specialist to help grow our team of Explorers and support the business behind our federal programs. Recruiting will be your primary focus, from sourcing and engaging candidates to coordinating interviews and keeping hiring efforts moving. As a small business, we also need someone who can contribute to government business development, proposal coordination, and day-to-day operations. You’ll bring strong recruiting skills, clear communication, and the flexibility to contribute across these areas as business needs evolve. Curiosity and comfort using AI is essential.

Your Mission

Recruiting & Candidate Engagement

  • Manage recruiting activities from sourcing and initial outreach through screening, interview coordination, offers, and handoff to onboarding.
  • Build pipelines for technical, cybersecurity, and other roles supporting federal government programs.
  • Conduct introductory conversations to assess relevant experience, interest, compensation expectations, availability, and alignment with position requirements.
  • Deliver timely, personable communication that helps candidates understand the opportunity and what comes next.
  • Coordinate with leadership, technical interviewers, and external partners to keep hiring moving.

Recruiting Operations & Staffing Support

  • Maintain accurate candidate records, interview notes, stages, and follow-up tasks in Greenhouse.
  • Keep hiring priorities, pipeline updates, and outstanding decisions visible to the team.
  • Prepare candidate summaries and format resumes for partner submissions and proposal staffing needs.
  • Confirm candidate information and coordinate required documentation, including citizenship, clearance status, and suitability considerations where applicable.
  • Support onboarding coordination and the transition from selected candidate to new Explorer.

Government Opportunity Research & Proposal Support

  • Research federal contracting opportunities and summarize their scope, requirements, deadlines, and potential alignment with Via Logic’s capabilities.
  • Review Requests for Information (RFIs), Sources Sought notices, and solicitations to identify response requirements and next steps.
  • Assist with drafting and coordinating RFI and Sources Sought responses, gathering input and supporting materials as needed.
  • Maintain opportunity trackers and follow up on deadlines, assigned tasks, and outstanding information.
  • Gather and organize company capabilities, past performance, resumes, and other materials for partner requests and proposal submissions.
  • Support proposal drafting, editing, formatting, and submission preparation, checking materials for accuracy and completeness.

Technology & Adaptability

  • Comfortable learning new technology, including AI tools, and adapting to evolving systems and workflows.

Business Operations & Team Coordination

  • Support scheduling, meeting preparation, action-item tracking, and administrative follow-through.
  • Maintain organized documents, trackers, and repeatable workflows.
  • Assist with People Operations, internal communications, events, and other growing-business priorities as assigned.
  • Identify practical improvements that reduce repetitive work and make coordination easier.

What You Bring to the Expedition

Required

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience, including hands-on sourcing, candidate screening, and pipeline management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to represent Via Logic professionally to candidates and partners.
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system and keeping records accurate and current.
  • Strong organization and follow-through across multiple openings, deadlines, and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to summarize information clearly and prepare polished, accurate documents.
  • Comfort using AI tools and a willingness to learn new technology while applying your own judgment.
  • Ability to work independently, ask useful questions, and collaborate closely with a small team.
  • Reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Arlington/Washington, DC and be available for in-person meetings, events, and business support, sometimes on same-day notice.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Preferred

  • Technical recruiting experience, particularly for IT, cybersecurity, software engineering, or other specialized roles supporting federal government programs.
  • Familiarity with federal hiring considerations, including citizenship requirements, clearances, background investigations, and suitability.
  • Exposure to government business development, proposal coordination, staffing submissions, or opportunity research.
  • Experience with Greenhouse, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
  • Experience supporting operations or administrative work in a small or growing business.

Why Explorers Stay

  • Healthcare coverage and paid time off that support life outside work.
  • Direct collaboration with leadership and visibility into how a growing federal contractor operates.
  • Opportunities to deepen your recruiting expertise and build experience in proposals, business development, and operations.
  • Teammates who share knowledge, pitch in, and help each other grow.
  • Room to contribute ideas and improve how the work gets done.

How We Work

  • We’re a small team with shared goals and responsibilities that sometimes cross functions. Recruiting will remain your central focus, while proposal deadlines and business needs may call for additional support.
  • We value clear communication, ownership, and early updates when something needs attention. You’ll participate in regular team check-ins, keep your work visible, and help move priorities forward without losing sight of the candidate experience.
  • This position is primarily remote, with periodic in-person meetings, activities, and operational support in the Arlington and Washington, DC area.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
