Position Overview Villara Building Systems is an Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing (MEP) contactor providing construction services for residential and commercial projects throughout California. As our Electrical Division continues to grow, we are looking for electricians who have at least 10 years’ experience to support our new projects. Certification is preferred and depending on the position, may be required. We have multiple large-scale projects projected to start over the next few months and are looking for experience to lead crews on ground-up projects. Technical Responsibilities
Underground conduit, trenching, and risers. Underground PVC conduit, trenching, concrete boxes and riser locations. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, 2D shop drawings and 3D modeling. Install electrical panels, circuit breakers, transformers, switches, outlets, and lighting systems. Perform electrical troubleshooting to identify and repair faults in wiring, circuits, and equipment. Ensure all electrical installations comply with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Material requestions, receive and check in. Install and terminate power and control cables, conduits, cable trays, and raceways. Inspect electrical components to identify hazards, defects, or code violations. Perform grounding and bonding of electrical systems. Install and maintain emergency power systems, UPS systems, and backup generators. Support commissioning and startup of electrical equipment and systems. Document maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and test results. Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other trades during installation and maintenance projects. Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other electrical safety protocols. Replace defective electrical components, fuses, relays, contactors, and circuit breakers.
Training/Certification
Electricians Trainee card, (60) day grace period if not current, with 10 Year’s Experience. State Certified Journeyman C10 Licensed Electricians
Education
HS Diploma or Equivalent
