In this hands-on role, you will support and improve our Microsoft Azure infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring, and production environments. You will work closely with software engineers to ensure our .NET-based SaaS applications and services remain reliable, secure, performant, and scalable.

A key focus of this role is proactive monitoring, observability, and production support, identifying issues early, improving visibility into application health, and helping prevent incidents before they impact customers.

You will take ownership of day-to-day DevOps activities, deliver infrastructure and automation improvements, and collaborate with senior engineers on more complex technical challenges.

Job Description:

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Support, maintain, and improve Microsoft Azure infrastructure across development, test, and production environments.
  • Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and YAML-based Azure Pipelines.
  • Support the deployment, configuration, and operation of .NET and ASP.NET Core applications, APIs, and microservices.
  • Implement and maintain proactive application and infrastructure monitoring using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
  • Develop dashboards, alerts, and health checks to monitor application availability, performance, failures, dependencies, and infrastructure health.
  • Analyze application telemetry, logs, and performance metrics to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and prevent recurring incidents.
  • Investigate and resolve production incidents, deployment failures, and infrastructure issues, contributing to root cause analysis and preventative improvements.
  • Provision and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
  • Support Azure services including App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Storage, Key Vault, and networking.
  • Maintain secure cloud environments using Microsoft Entra ID, Managed Identities, RBAC, and Azure security best practices.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to improve deployment reliability, observability, application performance, and release processes.
  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvements in operational reliability and engineering practices.
  • Support, monitor, and troubleshoot SQL and NoSQL databases, caching solutions, and data services, ensuring availability, performance, reliability, and efficient operation.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience in DevOps, Azure Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or similar role.
  • Practical experience managing and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services.
  • Good understanding of .NET and ASP.NET Core application deployment, configuration, and hosting.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines.
  • Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell or Azure PowerShell for scripting and automation.
  • Strong experience with application and infrastructure monitoring, including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and alerting.
  • Ability to investigate application failures, performance degradation, and production incidents using logs, metrics, and telemetry.
  • Experience with Azure services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, and Key Vault.
  • Understanding of Azure networking, security, Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and Managed Identities.
  • Familiarity with Git, REST APIs, microservices, and modern software development workflows.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate effectively with development and engineering teams.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with distributed tracing, performance monitoring, and application health checks.
  • Familiarity with Azure Service Bus, API Management, Redis, and event-driven architectures.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
