About the Company

We are delighted to be partnering with a New Zealand integrated facilities services provider, operating through an award-winning franchise model with a strong focus on customer service and quality assurance.

The business supports customers through local service delivery, bringing together operations, client relationship and franchise support teams to maintain consistent standards. Reliable cleaning services and lasting customer relationships are central to its approach, and effective prospecting plays an important part in connecting the business with customers who could benefit from its services.

About the Role

The Sales Development Representative will own consistent outbound prospecting, generating qualified opportunities for the sales, regional management and key account teams. You'll research businesses, connect with decision-makers and understand their current cleaning arrangements, establishing whether they are open to reviewing their provider and receiving a proposal.

Alongside new prospecting, you'll follow up existing contacts and scheduled callbacks, ensuring promising conversations receive timely attention. Success will be measured by the quality of opportunities generated, with an expectation of two to three qualified leads per day, rather than call volume alone.

This is a hands-on position with an immediate start available. The fixed term runs through to the end of February 2027, with potential to extend or become permanent depending on business needs.

What You'll Do

  • Research businesses and identify decision makers, generally targeting a wide range of industry sectors who would require commercial cleaning services.
  • Build rapport through outbound calls, understand current arrangements and identify interest in reviewing cleaning services.
  • Qualify opportunities by establishing business needs and willingness to receive a proposal.
  • Tailor conversations and follow-up emails to different industries, using existing collateral and templates.
  • Submit qualified leads for allocation and book appointments where appropriate for the salesperson's process.
  • Maintain accurate database records and manage scheduled callbacks to keep opportunities moving.

About You

  • Outbound Sales Experience: You've demonstrated results in telemarketing, outbound calling or lead generation and can contribute quickly. Commercial cleaning or facilities experience would be a bonus.
  • Communication & Rapport: You're confident on the phone, listen carefully and adapt your approach to different people. You can build interest while representing the business professionally.
  • Commercial Understanding: You're curious about how businesses operate and can recognise a relevant opportunity. You ask useful questions to establish whether there is a genuine reason to progress the conversation.
  • Resilience & Ownership: You enjoy hands-on prospecting and bring a positive, dependable approach. You're comfortable with rejection and take responsibility for maintaining consistent activity and results.
  • Organisation & Computer Skills: You manage follow-ups carefully and keep accurate contact records. You're comfortable researching online, using database systems and sending professional emails through Outlook.

What's in it for you?

You'll be joining a passionate, experienced, and hardworking team that takes pride in delivering reliable, consistent services. The culture is compassionate, people-focused, and genuinely supportive, with a strong sense of belonging and care for both clients and colleagues.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
