Role summary: Walmart is seeking a Manager, Advanced Analytics to lead the development and execution of data-driven strategies that address complex business challenges. This role partners with leadership to define analytics objectives, develop predictive models, and deliver actionable insights that support strategic initiatives. The manager will oversee project execution, mentor team members, and collaborate cross-functionally to implement innovative solutions. Success in this position requires strong leadership, advanced technical expertise, and the ability to translate data into impactful business recommendations that drive measurable results and continuous improvement. About the team: The Advanced Analytics team at Walmart eCommerce drives innovation in global online retail by delivering data-driven solutions that impact millions daily. Collaborating with leadership and cross-functional partners, the team focuses on advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and business intelligence to support strategic goals. Members develop and implement sophisticated models and prototypes, fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence. As part of Walmart Marketplace, the team plays a key role in accelerating growth and shaping future retail experiences through data and technology, emphasizing collaboration, leadership, and analytical expertise. What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with leadership and business partners to identify analytics objectives and develop research plans addressing key challenges.
  • Lead and mentor a team to execute advanced analytics projects, providing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and prototypes to support business solutions and drive measurable results.
  • Manage end-to-end project workstreams, ensuring risk mitigation and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Present actionable insights and recommendations to inform decision-making and business initiatives.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to deliver consultative analytics solutions supporting business needs.
  • Oversee data analysis strategies and guide team members in applying advanced analytics techniques.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven expertise in advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and data-driven decision making to address complex business challenges.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Tableau, and big data technologies to manage and analyze large datasets effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Experience managing end-to-end analytics projects, including prototype development, testing, and implementation.
  • Excellent project and stakeholder management skills to drive business results and continuous improvement.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
