Role summary:
The Quality Engineer II plays a critical role in ensuring product quality through comprehensive test design, automation, and continuous integration practices.
This position involves analyzing requirements, identifying risks, and developing effective testing strategies to validate system functionality and performance.
Testing of revenue platform applications through a combination of manual regression and automation. • Translation of documentation into functional test plans • Creation and sustaining of the automation framework and scripts • Cross communication with different groups responsible for various components of the software stack
About the team:
WatchFree quality assurance performs testing on the WatchFree+ and WatchFree On Demand applications in the VIZIO ecosystem, to ensure that customer functionality and revenue initiatives are working and sustained for both new and existing features.
What you'll do: • Understand the technical product layers produced by Development teams and the requirements by business to validate release quality • Understand the development aspects, software layers, SQL, JQL analytics, advanced networking knowledge, along with Jira & Confluence Knowledge • Build and maintain testing automation framework and scripts by analyzing testing requirements, risks and dependencies • Work with both internal QA teams and development teams for analysis and advanced troubleshooting, including but not limited to SSH controls of TV, automation scripts creation and running, Infrastructure testing and modification around the Vudip platform
What you'll bring:
• Bachelors Degree in relevant field, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of bachelors degree. • Experience with Object Oriented Programming language • Experience with GitLab/GitHub • Experience with API testing • Able to effectively document and troubleshoot errors • Possess an analytical mind, critical-thinking skills, and problem-solving aptitude • Able to work collaboratively across different divisions • Able to drive issues and deliver quality results with a great deal of autonomy • Previous experience as a QA Tester or similar role • Working knowledge of test management software, such as TestRail, TestLink, Confluence and Jira

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
