Drink More Water, together we grow.
Here at waterdrop®, we make drinking more water fun, convenient and most importantly, sustainable! Discover the world of innovative and eco-friendly hydration solutions with our fruity little cubes – Microdrinks – that save up to 98% plastic compared to drinks in 500ml plastic bottles. * Our centrally-located headquarters offers a vibrant environment, featuring an on-site restaurant and gym, not to mention the opportunity to connect with prospective colleagues from all over the world. With a successful online presence, 40+ stores around the world, dedicated B2B partners and over 22,000+ retail and branded stores, we can’t wait to take this journey to the next level – with you!
Everything we communicate about our environmental impact must be accurate, evidence-based and legally compliant – on every pack, in every market. As ESG & Compliance Specialist in our Consumer Health & Product Compliance team, you turn EU packaging and product regulation into concrete decisions on our products, drive cross-functional ESG projects and support our Legal team with day-to-day legal matters.
Your responsibilities at waterdrop®:
- Legal support: e-commerce topics (webshop content, T&Cs, price and promotion rules), social media law (influencer collaborations, giveaways) and standard contracts (NDAs, supplier and service agreements).
- PPWR & EPR: implement the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation for our drop products and maintain our EPR registrations across markets.
- Drinkware compliance: manage food contact compliance of our bottles, Smart Caps and LUCY® filters, including supplier declarations of conformity and test reports.
- Green claims & ESG: review environmental claims under the Empowering Consumers Directive, support sustainability reporting and our B Corp journey, and monitor the ESG regulatory landscape.
Your strengths and qualifications:
- Completed degree in law (e.g. Mag. iur., LL.M.)
- 2–4 years of professional experience in a legal or compliance role – ideally in FMCG, food, packaging or consumer goods.
- Solid knowledge of contract law and a good understanding of e-commerce, consumer protection and social media law.
- Curiosity for technical detail – no science background required; you learn the technical side on the job with our compliance team.
- Structured, pragmatic and solution-oriented working style.
- Fluent English; German is a strong advantage.
What we offer you:
- A high-achieving, international community of waterdrop® colleagues, located in a brand-new HQ in Vienna, Austria.
- MyClubs sports vouchers, to have a sporty balance.
- In-house fitness centre.
- In-house company doctor & Instahelp vouchers.
- In-house restaurant with subsidized healthy meals, for a break with your colleagues.
- Discount on your waterdrop purchases.
- Coverage of your transportation card.
- Legendary summer and Christmas parties!
The annual gross salary for this position ranges from EUR 62.000 to EUR 72.000 on a full-time basis (All-in). The final salary will depend on your qualifications and professional experience. Depending on your qualifications, there is the willingness for overpayment.
