Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following:

• Monitors patients undergoing continuous video EEG for safety.
• Alerts supervising seizure diagnostic technician of clinical/subclinical seizures or behavioral changes.
• Assists in monitoring all EMU patients to ensure patient safety.
• Recognizes normal and abnormal EEG waveform patterns and troubleshoots EEG reading in real time to minimize the risk of poor or incomplete data.
• Assists supervising seizure diagnostic technician as needed, including restocking supplies.
• Collaborates and communicates with health care team.
• Attends in-services and meetings as required/requested.
• Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.
