About Wing:

Wing offers drone delivery as a safe, fast, and sustainable solution for last mile logistics. Consumer appetites for on-demand services are increasing, but current delivery methods are inefficient, costly, and contribute to road accidents and air pollution. Wing’s fleet of highly automated delivery drones can transport small packages directly from businesses to homes on-demand, in minutes. We design, build, and operate our aircraft, and offer drone delivery services on two continents. Our technology is designed to be easy to integrate into existing delivery and logistics networks, offering a scalable drone delivery solution for a broad range of businesses. Wing is a part of Google's parent company, Alphabet, and our mission is to create the preferred means of delivery for the planet. If you're ready to do the greatest work of your life, come join us.

About the Role: Wing is looking for a Finance Operations Lead to join our Finance team. This role can be hybrid in Palo Alto, CA, or fully remote within the United States.

As the Finance Operations Lead, you will be a strategic cornerstone for the business, driving the rhythm of executive planning, board material production, and future fundraising initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a rare blend of high-agency startup agility and exceptional storytelling skills. You are just as comfortable diving deep into granular cohort retention spreadsheets as you are zooming out to present visually clean, strategic memos to the Board of Directors. You will operate with absolute integrity and discretion, handling sensitive cap table data and M&A explorations while establishing the modern tooling and compliance workflows that will scale Wing into its next phase of growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Support long-term planning and annual valuation workstreams. Facilitate and track action items for monthly Exec Team reviews, bi-weekly Finance Leadership syncs, cross-functional business reviews, and quarterly planning exercises.
  • Co-lead the preparation of investor data rooms, forward-looking financial projections, and strategic pitches for future capital raises.
  • Own the end-to-end production of Finance content for quarterly Board of Directors decks and monthly investor update memos.
  • Execute deep-dive unit economic analyses into cohort retention, customer acquisition payback, and gross margins across customer segments and geographies.
  • Monitor cash burn, runway scenarios, headcount growth plans, and budget-vs-actual variances in close partnership with FP&A and Strategic Finance.
  • Partner with Finance leads to evaluate, select, and scale modern financial tooling.
  • Support Controllership in establishing early-stage internal controls, transfer pricing policies, and compliance workflows as we prepare for annual audits with top-tier audit firms.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in strategic finance, finance operations, investment banking, or corporate finance.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role overseeing FP&A, capital allocation, unit economics, and multi-year forecasting.
  • Proven track record scaling operations and financial infrastructure at a previous company (e.g., from early-stage to commercial scale).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience operating in hardware, logistics, supply chain, or deep tech environments.
  • Experience acting as a strategic partner to engineering, product, and operations leaders.
  • Prior experience successfully co-leading or preparing diligence for Series B/C+ venture capital fundraising or strategic M&A.
  • Hands-on experience selecting and implementing modern finance and ERP software stacks from the ground up
  • MBA or CPA preferred

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
