Job Description

WHO WE ARE

We’re not in the wing business. We’re in the flavor business. It’s been our mission to Serve the World Flavor since we first opened in 1994, and we’re just getting started. 1997 saw the opening of our first brand partner operated Wingstop location, and by 2002 we had served the world one billion wings. It’s flavor that defines us and has made Wingstop one of the fastest growing brands in the restaurant industry.

Above all else – our success is largely due to our people and our core values, or what we call The Wingstop Way of being entrepreneurial, service-minded, fun, and authentic. We believe having a strong people foundation centered on these collective values creates a crave-worthy culture and talented team, as well as ensures our brand is poised for accelerated growth. We all win together.

WHAT WE’LL NEED

The Vice President International Brand Marketing and Global Events is Wingstop's senior International Marketing leader at the Global Support Center. After entering 10 international markets over the past three years, Wingstop expects to enter another 10 to 12 over the next three years. This role represents APAC, EMEA, the Americas and India in enterprise brand, marketing and innovation decisions and ensures Wingstop develops ideas and capabilities with a global perspective from the outset.

Each International Managing Director retains full-stack accountability for the regional business, including operations, marketing, training, technology, real estate and development. This role provides the functional leadership, shared standards and connectivity needed to maintain one Wingstop brand while preserving regional speed and market responsiveness.

Primary Accountabilities  Serve as the senior International Marketing voice at the Global Support Center and in enterprise leadership forums.  Partner with the CMO to translate enterprise brand strategy into clear international guardrails and practical market tools.  Provide dotted-line functional leadership, coaching and capability development to the four regional Marketing leaders.  Build frictionless mechanisms for campaigns, assets, consumer insight and learning to move between the United States and international markets and across regions.  Partner with Managing Directors to strengthen regional plans, market launches, investment choices and commercial performance.  Lead international market research and use it to shape local brand positioning, consumer priorities and market growth plans.  Lead the brand workstream for new-market entry, including positioning, menu architecture, pricing recommendations, launch planning and post-launch learning.  Hold a seat in U.S. product innovation discussions so global extensibility is evaluated early and international ideas enter the enterprise pipeline.  Serve as a key stakeholder on the steering committee for the Global Innovation Center of Excellence and connect it with U.S. innovation and the four regions.  Own the strategy, creative vision and execution standards for signature global experiences, including House of Flavor.  Partner with Loyalty, U.S. Local Marketing and shared services so enterprise capabilities support international markets without slowing local decisions.  Establish a focused scorecard for brand health, commercial contribution, innovation reach, speed and marketing efficiency

Operating Model Managing Directors own regional strategy, P&L results, local marketing plans, investment and integrated execution. The Vice President owns the international brand framework, functional marketing standards, cross-market mechanisms, international research, the brand workstream for market entry, international representation in enterprise decisions and signature global events. The Vice President recommends market positioning, menu architecture, pricing and launch strategy; Managing Directors retain final regional commercial authority. Regional Marketing leaders report to their Managing Directors and have a dotted-line relationship to the Vice President. Material conflicts are resolved by the Global COO.

Measures of Success  Greater brand consistency without reduced regional agility.  Earlier and stronger international influence on enterprise marketing and product innovation.  Faster sharing and adaptation of effective campaigns, products and capabilities.  Improved brand health, frequency and marketing effectiveness in priority markets.  Stronger regional Marketing talent and functional capability.  Successful market launches and measurable impact from House of Flavor and other global events.  Stronger positioning, menu and pricing decisions grounded in local consumer insight.  More scalable product platforms and less duplicated work across the system.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 Global brand builder with sound judgment about consistency and local adaptation.  Commercial and culturally fluent leader who understands franchise economics and market growth.  Strong matrix operator who can influence senior leaders while respecting regional authority.  Experience across international brand marketing, market research, positioning, menu and pricing strategy, new-market launches, experiential platforms and product innovation.  Track record of developing talent, leading external partners and managing meaningful budgets.  Restaurant, retail, hospitality, entertainment, sports, music or lifestyle-brand experience is advantageous.

WHO YOU ARE

No job is too small. You recognize that the real work happens in the restaurants, and everything we do should support their success. You stay humble, roll up your sleeves, and always look for ways to help. You learn from others and contribute wherever you can.

You care deeply about doing great work and driving results. You’re curious, ask questions, and seek out opportunities to improve. You don’t just point out problems—you bring solutions, ideas, and perspectives that move the team forward.

You take full responsibility for your work and see things through to completion. You aren’t afraid to fail because you know that failure is a part of learning and growth. You take action, move fast, and keep pushing forward.

You lead with empathy, respect, and emotional intelligence. You collaborate effectively, fostering a culture of trust and constructive feedback. You understand the importance of teamwork and ensure that your actions build others up rather than break them down.

You push yourself and others to be better. You embrace healthy conflict, knowing that great ideas and strong teams emerge from honest, constructive conversations. You believe that leaders create leaders and are committed to fostering a culture of growth, challenge, and continuous improvement.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
