We’re looking for an HR apprentice to join our team and work towards a Level 3 HR Support qualification.
This is a full-time role based in Liskeard, with the option to work remotely some of the time.
What you’ll be doing day to day
· Create and advertise our current vacancies using our Applicant Tracking System
· Send out offers of employment
· Request the required background checks, including an Enhanced DBS check with the adults’ and children’s barred lists
· Gather, check and verify employment references
· Keep an eye on workflows and organise your workload by priority
· Help new starters get set up on the required systems, working with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief of People and Learning (CoPL)
· Keep annual checks up to date, including annual wellbeing and DBS Update Service checks
· Check key documents, such as proof of address, a passport, a full or provisional driving licence, or a birth certificate
· Check any gaps in employment history
· Help with Learning & Development activities
· Provide admin support to our Service Manager
· Pitch in with other HR tasks when needed
You’ll need to be proactive, communicate well, pay close attention to detail and be comfortable working to deadlines.

Microsoft Suite
English Grade A to C
Mathematics Grade A to C
Entry level certificates in Administration
