Job title: Business Development Manager
Contract Type: Full Time Permanent, subject to 6 months' probation
Location: North Co. Dublin
Salary: €50,000 per annum, paid monthly

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and achieving revenue and performance targets within a defined territory. Working closely with the Sales Manager, Head of Sales, and wider Business Development team, the role will focus on developing new business opportunities, expanding existing customer relationships, and delivering sustainable growth within the SME sector.
Key responsibilities include:
- Achieving sales and revenue targets through proactive business development and account management activities.
- Identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities across your territory.
- Growing existing customer accounts by identifying opportunities to expand services and increase customer value.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, prospects and key stakeholders.
- Acting as a trusted advisor, understanding customer requirements and recommending tailored solutions.
- Managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through to quotation, negotiation and contract completion.
- Preparing accurate proposals, quotations and commercial agreements in line with company guidelines.
- Maintaining a healthy sales pipeline and executing territory sales plans to deliver sustainable growth.
- Working closely with Customer Service, Operations, Service Delivery and Finance teams to ensure the successful onboarding and support of customers.
- Supporting installation, service and retention activities to ensure an excellent customer experience throughout the customer journey.
- Representing the business at customer meetings, networking events and industry functions.
- Maintaining accurate customer information, sales activity and opportunity records within the CRM system.
- Monitoring sales performance, pipeline activity and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing forecasts and territory reports as required.
- Ensuring all sales activities are conducted in line with company policies, procedures and compliance standards.
- Identifying opportunities to improve sales processes, customer experience and operational efficiency.

Requirements
- Proven experience in a field sales, business development or account management role.
- A track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a sales pipeline and prioritise opportunities effectively.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Self-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
