The posting

We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the surgical management of complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and surgically manage complex cardiac and thoracic conditions.
  • Perform cardiac and cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
  • Perform procedures including CABG, valve surgery, and other major cardiac interventions.
  • Manage thoracic conditions involving the lungs, pleura, mediastinum, and chest wall.
  • Conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans.
  • Provide postoperative care and monitor patient recovery.
  • Manage complex surgical and cardiothoracic emergencies.
  • Collaborate closely with cardiologists, cardiac anesthesiologists, intensivists, pulmonologists, and other specialists.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical quality improvement activities.
  • Counsel patients and families regarding treatment options, surgical procedures, risks, and recovery.
  • Maintain accurate clinical and surgical documentation.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
  • MS/MCh/DNB or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Cardiothoracic & Cardiovascular Surgery / Cardiothoracic Surgery.
  • Minimum 3 years of post-specialization experience preferred.
  • Strong experience in cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures.
  • Experience in complex and minimally invasive cardiothoracic procedures is an advantage.
  • Excellent surgical skills, clinical judgment, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
